Get the pharmacology study app.
The app is in final review with both stores. Everything on this website is already free and needs no account, so there is plenty to work with while you wait.
What you can use right now, free
None of the following needs an account, an email address or the app. If you are revising this week, start here rather than waiting.
- Practice questions across six systems, each with a full explanation of why the answer is right
- Pharmacy calculators with the formula, a worked example and the mistake that costs most marks
- Drug class pages that derive the side effects from the mechanism instead of listing them
- Drug comparisons for the pairs exams confuse on purpose
- Exam blueprints with each board’s published weightings
Free in the app, and what Pro adds
We charge for the schedule rather than the content, because content is abundant and remembering it on time is not. The split below is the whole commercial model, stated plainly.
Free
- Every lesson and mechanism explanation, read as often as you like
- 70 practice questions on the web with full explanations
- 17 pharmacy calculators with formulas and worked examples
- Drug class pages, exam blueprints and drug comparisons
Pro
- Spaced repetition that schedules each review before you forget
- Weak-spot drilling that returns what you keep getting wrong
- Exam-mode papers under real time pressure
- Offline packs for commutes and low-data days
- Progress analytics across weeks rather than a single session
The 7-day Pro trial needs no credit card. If you do subscribe, cancel in two taps through the App Store or Google Play, and anything you have read stays readable.
Why the app exists at all
A website can explain a mechanism and test you once. What it cannot do is remember what you got wrong three weeks ago and put it back in front of you at the moment it is about to fade, which is the part that decides whether you still know it in an exam. That bookkeeping is what the app does, and it is why our guide to studying pharmacology spends most of its length on spacing rather than on content.
Common questions
How much does PharmBit cost?
Free to download with a 7-day Pro trial and no credit card required. Reading stays free forever, along with the practice questions and calculators on this website. Spaced repetition, weak-spot drilling, exam-mode papers, offline packs and analytics are Pro.
Is PharmBit available on iPhone and Android?
Both are planned for launch. This page switches to live download buttons the moment each store listing is approved, so it is worth checking back or leaving your email to be told.
I am a nursing or medical student. Will it work for me?
Yes. Pick the Medicine, Nursing or Biomedical track. Lessons stay mechanism-first while the cases and exam-mode timing follow your track, because the pharmacology underneath is the same regardless of the degree.
Does it use brand names or generic names?
Both. Drug A-Z links every brand to its generic, and exam-mode questions switch between them the way real papers do, because that switching is itself something exams test.
Can I study offline?
Yes, with Pro. Offline packs cover lessons, flashcards and drills, so commutes and areas with poor signal still count. Progress syncs when you reconnect, and nothing answered offline is lost.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app, under Profile and then Privacy, two taps and a typed confirmation. You can also use the account deletion page on this site. Deletion removes your account and associated study data.
Study aid only. PharmBit is built for learning and examination practice. It is not medical advice, not clinical decision support, and must never be used to make a decision about a real patient. See our medical disclaimer, privacy policy and terms.
